The Italian Classic of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is ready to give emotions to its fans again in 2023. Val di Sole was included in the upcoming season calendar of the main World’s MTB series, that from the next season will be managed by ESO Sport – Warner Bros Discovery. In 2023, the Val di Sole stage of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will take place from June 30th to July 2nd, staging Cross Country, Cross Country Short Track and Downhill disciplines.
The calendar of the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and Enduro World Series – presented together for the first time, features 15 venues distributed in 10 different Countries and 3 Continents. The new slot in early July will bring the series the Val di Sole in the crucial moment of the season, while maintaining the Trentino venue’s role among the regular stops of top-notch Mountain Biking.
“International MTB is up for a season of major changes, and Val di Sole will be part in this new age”, said the Director of Val di Sole Tourism Board and Grandi Eventi Val di Sole, Fabio Sacco. – “Our vision about the role of the big events for our destination is clear, as shown by the 2026 UCI MTB World Champs already assigned to Val di Sole, and also the progression of the Cyclo-Cross World Cup project. We look forward to collaborating with the ESO Team, and contributing to the growth of our sport”.
In 2022, Val di Sole is ready to host the Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Finals, to be held in Daolasa di Commezzadura, from September 2nd to 4th. With the overall World Cup crown still up for grabs in nearly every category, the event is expected to bring great excitement and enticing challenges.
